i am moving to madrid in 2 months and was wondering if there were any bike meets in the area and where the nearest race track was that did track days.

Hi:

There is a lot of areas to meet with other bikers here in Madrid. In this forum you can find events and meetings. There are also a lot of areas near Madrid here you can find bikers every weekend (La Cruz Verde, Atazar, etc.).

I don´t have the date for the next races, but I should sugest you to assist to La Bañeza race (August 8th). This is the most important classic bike race in Spain, and last year the winer was Phil Read.

The nearest race track is called "Circuito del Jarama" wich is a permanent one placed in K.P. #27 driving through N1 from Madrid to the North.

There's quite a big biking scene in Madrid as I understand it, so you should be able to hook up with someone no problem. A good Triumph site in English in case you don't know it is www.t595.net
